Upstairs is one gigantic living room/kitchen/dining area with a 25 foot high cathedral ceiling a fireplace, a 42” flat screen TV, DVD and CD player and some CD’s (bring your own CD’s if you don’t like what I like - Sinatra, Ella, Louis, Puccini, Mozart) The kitchen is wide open to the living room with an island for breakfast, snacks or stragglers who missed dinner.
The big pine dining room table seats 8 comfortably or 10 if you’re very friendly. In addition to serving food, it is ideally suited for heated political discussions, family gossip, criticizing people not present or toasting each other with the beverage of your choice.
In the all stainless steel kitchen there is a modern electric glass top stove, microwave, large refrigerator, and garbage disposal.
There is a second living room downstairs. It is fully carpeted, with a fireplace, cable TV, DVD, Tape, and a funky little miniature pool table. There are two large bookcases full of paper backs, some good, some bad, some awful (help yourself) and a whole closet full of toddler toys (too many!) This is a great place to put the kids during cocktail time or when they get fussy.
The laundry room (downstairs) has a washer, dryer and laundry sink.
Using the outdoor shower helps keep the sand out of the inside plumbing after you come up from the beach.

"FAMILY BEACH EXPERIENCE"
Coming back to 148 Henlopen for the past 6 years, we love the house! We have two young boys and it has everything we need, toys, games, room/play area downstairs. We love the kitchen and usually cook or grill most nights, great local seafood shops, wonderful market right nearby. We love biking down to the beach. We bring our own bikes, but they have everything you need if you don't want to travel with a bike trailer. My kids love all the beach toys and kickboards they have! Rehoboth has a reallygreat bike trail that goes to Lewes, that is really great for the kids. I have been visiting Rehoboth for 20 years and feel that thisis the best location in Rehoboth! The beach is not crowded and very near Henlopen Avenue and it is in walking distance to downtown and the boardwalk. We just bike down. Close to great restaurants. Grove Park is nearby and my kids love to play there after dinner some nights. We have so many memories and great experiences here!

"HOME AWAY FROM HOME "
Renters at 148 Henlopen Ave. The home is comfortable and well suited for our multi-generational family vacation. The location is ideal for the beach and downtown RB. The little park up the street is ideal for our young grandchildren. The few times we had a question oe a problem, the owner got right back to respond to our needs. Highly recommended.
